Solution · Equipment monitoring

Know which machines need attention — and which have gone quiet.

One view of every critical asset’s condition and data freshness. Thresholds you configure, readings you can inspect, and stale data that changes an asset’s state instead of silently freezing a chart.

01Workflow

Four steps to a monitored cell.

  1. Register equipment

Import the asset list for one cell with tags, types and criticality.

  2. Visualise telemetry

Upload an export or connect a gateway; readings appear per signal with units.

  3. Set thresholds

Enter OEM or plant limits with their source and owner. Sustained-duration rules avoid single-spike alerts.

  4. Watch freshness

Each signal has an expected interval. Missing data raises a data-quality alert of its own.

02Threshold monitoring

A limit, its source, and the readings around it.

PMP-001’s vibration with its warning band. Change the range in the demo to see the elevated period before the September inspection.

0.02.04.06.08.07 Oct8 Oct9 Oct10 Oct11 Oct12 Oct13 OctnowWarning 4.5Critical 7.1

Vibration velocity RMS over the last 7 days: ranged from 1.9 to 5.0 mm/s, mean 3.0 mm/s. Latest reading 4.9 mm/s at 2026-10-14 14:20 demo time. Thresholds: warning above 4.5 mm/s; critical above 7.1 mm/s.

03Data-quality awareness

No data is information too.

PKG-001 stopped reporting at 13:30. Its chart hatches the gap, its state becomes Stale, and rules are not evaluated on its last known values.

Infeed rate over the last 24 hours: ranged from 1,182 to 1,207 units/h, mean 1,196 units/h. Latest reading 1,198 units/h at 2026-10-14 13:30 demo time. 50 min without data.

Reading No data

Stale

No reading within the configured maximum age (30 min in the demo). DATA

Gap

A missing interval in history, hatched in charts and excluded from calculations.

Unit or schema

A reading with an unknown unit or out-of-range value is quarantined with a reason, not dropped.

Clock skew

Timestamps more than five minutes from the gateway clock are flagged.

04In context

Monitoring is the first of four workflows.

A

Equipment monitoring

Workflow: a reliability engineer opens the cell at the start of a shift, sees which assets are normal, which need attention and which have stopped reporting, and opens the one that matters.

PHL AI’s role: keep identity, readings, thresholds and freshness on one record per asset.

B

Maintenance intelligence

Workflow: a planner orders the week’s inspections by Review Priority, reads why each asset was flagged, assigns the work and records the outcome.

  3. CNV-0015

Rules-based ranking, illustrative data. “n/c”: not computed because data is stale.

C

Digital-twin visualization

Workflow: an engineer traces what depends on what — the motor drives the conveyor, the conveyor feeds the packer — before planning a stop.

PHL AI’s role: a versioned model of assets and typed relationships. A 2D plan is the default; a 3D view is planned as another view of the same twin.

D

Scenario analysis

Workflow: before raising conveyor speed, a production engineer checks which station becomes the bottleneck and how quickly the packer buffer fills.

throughput = min(station rate × availability)

Deterministic models with listed assumptions. Physics-based simulation needs an external, validated engine.
